As a wedding photographer I get to see the starts of marriages – as a counsellor I get to see the struggles that marriages face.
If I was to tell you one thing that is essential in making marriages last it is to understand your spouses dreams and goals and help them fulfil them.
As entrepreneurs there are huge ups and downs and you maybe the one sat at the computer or out ‘doing your thing’ but remember that there is a spouse at home, a good friend, a parent who is by your side, whether that be making you a meal, supporting your ideas, listening to your ever changing plans.
They are the unsaid Heroes. Take some time to thank them, show them appreciation and care for the support they give.
As for the partners, the parents and the friends. Remember the journey of your loved ones, honour their dream and believe in them. Those whispers of reassurance will be invaluable.
This post is a reminder to us all that Allah tells us that ” he who is not grateful to the people is not grateful to Allah ”
